Crossmember and driveshaft do not need to change. The stock floor shifter can be used but you will not be able to manually access first. You can get a conversion kit from Shiftworks that turns your stock two speed shifter into a three speed.

I should clarify that the original driveshaft will work so long as you get a short tail TH350. There were three different tailhousing lengths, so be sure to get the correct one. Changing the tailhousing requires changing the output shaft, which requires completely disassembling the transmission.

You don't say what kind of car you have but there are kits for the floor shift models to convert to a 3 speed.

You can use your tail shaft from the 2 sp then speedo gear and all will be the same. I was able to reuse my lines with a little bending. I would look for a 67 shifter that work's with the 3 spd the shift works kit was ok but alot of money for a detent plate you can look at using a dremel tool and making your detent deeper and skipping a new set up too. I used my 2 spd shifter for a year and then broke the end the arm on the shifter . Did a shiftworks would have done a dual gate if I had to do it over.
