hydromatic to jetaway?

Can I replace my 1956 hydromatic with a 1956 jetaway? There are a few in a yard near me and hoped all I had to do is replace the trans and speedo cluster,,is it that simple? Thanks Randy

Mounts are probably different too. Driveshaft yoke might also be different. Crossmember too. Shift and possibly TV linkage different too.

Why change to a slip box such as Jetaway? Recently I drove my cars with hydramatic, then drove my Jetaway equipped 59 Olds, big big difference in shift quality. Keep the hydramatic!
