Convertor from TH350 to TH400

Hi, i have a TH350 with it's stock convertor left over from my 350 Rocket engine. Today i have a 455 with a TH400 and 2600-2800 Convertor instaled. But i don't do a lot of raceing and i don't need these revs just for a cruize.
to remind below is the dynochart
Q1: will the combination 455 - TH350 stock converter - TH400 fit together?

Q2: will the stock convertor handle 400 h.p. , or will it die if i do the pedal?

Thanx
Bazil

Yes, in fact this is a common swap to get a little more stall speed.

Probably, but not clear since we don't know the original condition of the converter. Don't power brake for an extended period of time, as this can balloon the converter. Just flash the RPMs prior to launch.

<.............has ballooned a converter. Not pretty what it does to the crank. Lets just say I ended up with .250 of thrust bearing clearance.

having seen pictures of your prize winning car I recommend you dress up the bits judges can't see and get a converter than will handle 455 torque, it would be a shame to spoil your fine car for a relatively cheap & simple upgrade.
Years ago I had a '78 Regency with a 455 from a '70 toronado, I sold it to a guy with a V12 jaguar when I blew him away in a drag race. I didn't know much then, particularly I didn't know it still had the TH200 from the diesel the car left the factory with, anyway about a week afterwards he left the remains of the transmission on the road when he took off from a stoplight!.

X2 on the right convertor!
With almost 700 ft. lbs., I'd be looking for something like a H.D. aftermarket, and mention your torque figures.

No, no, it's got 700 Nm (metric) which is arround 500 lbs per foot only. i understand there is a risk blowing the stock convertor, especially if it's not new (used).
I can not figure out if these will fit:

It says , it's for a Chevy...

Or maybe this one?

Either of those will work, but I've earned the hard way - often you get what you pay for!
B+M have been around forever, I've used their products often, and never had a problem.
The last thing you want is to ship things back and forth, with a problem, let alone the R+R time/cost!
