console shift hole

Does anyone know exactly where and what size to cut the hole in my floor for the console shift for a '64 Cutlass?

Thanks

Hopefully someone can give you dimensions. If not, I had to mount the transmission (4 speed) on my Delmont 88 and kind of eye it up. So if you check from the bottom (from the shifter) and from the top (where the console hole is) and they are the same you are probably in good shape. Some of the other more experience Olds guys on the site might have a better answer but that is where I would start.

Thanks for the direction. What I ended up doing was referencing the drawing from the '65 assembly manual. It still had no dimensions but it is fairly clear about position - if you line up the shifter on the floor as shown in the diagram. It only really fits one position so - there it is.
