Clutch disc diameter

Hi everyone,

This is kind of a dumb question but I am sort of stumped. I am installing a TKO600 trans in my 72 Cutlass. I removed a 10.4" Centerforce clutch and pressure plate. I have a large Centerforce clutch and pressure plate out of a 72 Chevelle that my friend had previously. I want to use the larger pressure plate but want to install a new disc. The new pressure plate bolts to my flywheel.

My problems is everything lists an 11" disc for the larger option. The pressure plate and clutch I have measure 11 3/4". I know trucks had 12" clutches but it doesn't list it for the Chevelle.

Can anyone suggest if I need a 12" disc or an 11? I suspect its a 12" i Need.

Thanks.

I believe you need the 12" disc which is slightly smaller than 12" as is the pressure plate. Make sure the pressure plate does not rub bell housing but I think you will be ok...
