84 olds xmsn

I have an 84 cutlass sureme broughm, 3.8 l engine with 250-c xmsn.
I don't want to roll around under the car very much, so can anyone tell me which side of the xmsn is the vacuum modulator ?? yes , I'm getting too old for much of that stuff , but I'm not Donald T. either.
I have reason to believe the mod. is leaking vacuum.
Thanks for the help

Almost certainly the passenger side.

Just disconnect the line to the modulator up top by the engine and look for ATF - if there's any in the hose, the modulator's bad. If there's not, suck on it. If it holds vacuum, it's good, if it leaks, either the modulator's bad or the line is leaky.
