700r4 in my Starfire

I'm putting a Ross Racing Engines 394s and a 700r4 transmission behind it. That's all going good, but I'm having a hard time figuring out if torque converter has the latest lockout wiring and solenoid..i.e.1 wire control.
There are no pressure plugs on the right side of the transmission so it should be a 1987 or later. The part numbers have been stamped over with a 11 at the beginning of the part number. So, I'm assuming that it is a 1991.
Am I going to have to pull the pan and have a look at the wiring.

The factory was a square plug with only three wires used. I believe it was a ground, 12 volt input from the ecm and 12 volt brake. Its been a few years though. That would be the only plug on the trans case. The VSS would be in the tailshaft, if equipped.
