70 Vista Cruiser Transmission
Hi, I am doing a 70 vista cruiser that came as a 350/350 car. I will be converting to a 455/400 and need to know which trans came with the vista cruiser from the factory. I think it should be a long tail 400 but have had others tell me short tail. Does someone know which one for sure??. Thanks

I thought Vista's came with T-400's At least my '68 Vista did.
If it has a T-350 and you are going to a T-400 you will need a shorter drive shaft and move the cross member back. Should be holes in the frame for the position.

I thought they all came with 400's also but have seen several adds plus my car and another 70 for sale on ROP that were 350/350 cars.

My '71 has a 350 with the TH-400.
Mine has the long tailshaft and the trans mount uses the rear position on the frame.
At least I think it's the long one?, been awhile.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

The driveshaft from center to center of the yokes is 57-5/8 inches.
I have this type rear.
