67 conv cutlass cross member

67 conv cutlass cross member

67 cutlass, 455 in, th400 next, cross member seems to be a little short even with short snout tranny, it has welded mounts on closed box frame. 3" short. best way to make this fit? attach first bolts on cross member to last mount holes and weld extension to frame to catch the other 2?

made brackets today. thanks again. what tranny mount does that take now? jetfire one a no go? just standard th4oo mount all same?

You may already be done with your install, but I used the ANCHOR 2378 mount from Auto Zone. I think they list them by a different name but the part number is the same. I think the box it came in even had the "Anchor" name on it. The part is cheaper on RockAuto.com, but after shipping and the wait, it was easier to get it at the parts store. The only thing different than original is the need for metric bolts to fit my TH200-4r.
