Is this for a Toronado? I noticed some of the vac lines are different and it says "88" on the top. The master switch has an empty spot in the diagram and mine had an orange stripe vac line going there.
Diagram shows a connection to the headlight vacuum tank, which only Toronados had.
Try contacting Greg Kennedy in Alberta CA. He's Comfortron technical advisor for Toronado Owners Association and you should be able to find his contact info thru TOA.

Greetings - the '66 Toronado Assembly manual posted at the beginning of the Toronado section on here also shows that same diagram, including the hand written "88" at the top of the page. That seems to be the 88th page in the sequence, since adjacent pages follow that naming convention. Additionally, the full-size cars have the power servo mounted in the passenger compartment, not the engine compartment.
Interestingly, I dug out my '66 CSM and here is the vacuum hose diagram found in that manual.
It does show an orange vacuum hose going to the Master Switch.
I wouldn't doubt there may have been a mid-year change, or other updated info released as it became available.

Thx I didn't notice the headlight tank, I guess it is for the Toro.

That does look more like my car
Whst is a bleeder valve and what does it do? Mine is missing, just has a t fitting there. will that have an effect on how the system works?
I've noticed you've been working on your Comfortron for over a year now - I guess I'm glad my Toro has manual AC, and I've had no problems for the 40+ years that I've owned the car. Only maintenance is a can of R12 every 4-5 years, and I make certain to run AC with every start-up to keep compressor seal "exercised" and lubricated.
As for the missing Comfortron section in your Olds Service Manual, maybe it's time to invest in a new, complete manual - they do pop up on eBay occasionally.
Good luck with all your issues and efforts.

I've pretty much been working on it since I got it last year, a little bit at a time but slowly learning how everything works.
Of course the heat worked last year but now it's not heating, so that's another thing to work on
Ok, after looking at my layout on my car, it's the same as the "88" one except for the extra 4th yellow vac line on the master switch. One diagram shows the master switch connected to the servo via purple line, while the other shows the water valve connected to the servo via yellow line. I'm trying to figure out which is the correct way to connect.
Find someone who has a set of 1966 Service Guilds and Tech Bulletins and Information Letters. If any changes or updates were done after the Chassis Manual was printed those will show them.
This is the same info from your 1966 Chassis Service Manual (CSM) page 1EB-9, Figure 1EB-16.
Something tells me this will generate more questions than it resolves, but I hope not.
Good luck. Keep us posted.
About that pic with the 88 on top, looks like it has several revisions listed on the bottom but I can't see it (blurry), can you post that section enlarged? Looks like the top revision says "bleeder valve removed" but I can't quite see it thx
