Well, a friend of a friends son called to say he understood I was an Oldsmobile nut. His father-in-law had passed away and he had an old Toronado he wanted to sell, but didn't know what it was worth. I gave him a price range and said if he couldn't sell it for more on Craigslist or ebay I'd be interested in it. He called me back a couple weeks later and offered it to me. It looks like it had been partially restored a few years back. The tags expired in 2008, so it must have been a while since it had been worked on it. Its been repainted, although there are some bubbles under the paint in places. The vinyl top is toast. The interior has had some work done to it. No paperwork on the drivetrain but the engine has been repainted at some time. Attached are a couple photos of it. I don't have the time right now but later this spring/early summer I plan to get it running and see if it could be sold as a driver. That's my first choice, clean it up and make sure its sound, then sell it to someone else who'd like to freshen up the restoration and make a nice car out of it. John

The dark spots around the wheel well and rocker trim isn't rust, its moss

Ha ha. I love my little 19 year old BMW with rear wheel drive in the snow.
As anyone passing the SUVs spun off the highway will attest, more traction only gets you into more trouble.

I missed out on a '70 GT Toro in Mass. a few years ago - looked generally good, interior a bit beat, wanted $1200 for it, but I didn't have an extra $1200, or a place to put it.

One day, I'd like a nice '66 or '67 Toro, though. They're just so... cool.

Nice score... I find it interesting how the older vehicles in the North West part of the country appear to be in such good condition...
