Mystery part

Anyone know what this is?

I did a little refurbishing to my trunk and rear seat area on my '66 Toronado and this part was left over. It must have fell out when I removed all the trim and seats. It feels like cardboard.

LOL, I took a sharp knife to it.......yeah, it was a brown crayon. Must have been one of mine when I was a little kid.

Hopefully I gave someone a good laugh today because I know I certainly ain't happy.

I don't understand "ain't happy" - if it were an actual car part, who knows how much you'd have to rip apart/disassemble to place the part in its correct place. Then, you'd be really unhappy.

In other, hotter parts of the world, that Crayola would have been a brown stain on the floor of undetermined origin. I can't tell you how many boneyard cars I've walked away from for similar unknowns...

For a second there, it looked almost like a 64-66 Starfire floor shifter neutral safety switch linkage. So rare I had to make one, until I found one.

On the whole, I'd say you're better off having found it whole. And having confirmed it's not an Oldsmobile part.

Cheers,
Chris

No I'm not happy.

Well over a century of friendship is being literally destroyed right before my eyes in the matter of a few weeks.

I'm in my late 40's and I won't live long enough to see these fences mended.

I apologize for trying to minimize this situation. Obviously, there's something bigger going on here, and I hope you can get things turned around.

I realize many people are just sticking their fingers in the ears. If you don't know what I'm talking about, well......... I guess you don't know where I'm from & perhaps this isn't the place to discuss but, like I said earlier, I fear we've already gone too far and there's really no coming back.

Okay, now I know what you're talking about, and I agree totally - just never thought about it the way you first expressed it - a very sad state of affairs.

Hard to be optimistic at this point, but let’s hope things get better.

Perhaps in the long run this period will serve as a negative object lesson. At almost 61, I may not see it, but I hope.

On this side, the best that can be hoped for is for tensions to calm a little. That's as good as it's going to get, unfortunately.

With regards to the relationship, as far as Canadians are concerned, well it's over let's be perfectly honest. Never to return in our generation, at least. We will never trust you again. It's not even about the "T's", it's the outright expression of power.

To get what he wants through his current methods I 100% guarantee him that it's going to take longer than his 4 years because Canadians are tough as nails. To get what he wants in his time will require force and if that's what he wants well then let's get to it then. That's how serious things are being taken here.
