Does anyone know if a steering column from a 69 Olds 98 fit into a 70 Toronado?

 

In process of retrofitting the '66 tilt/tele into my '65 88 I found there is about an inch difference in length from the tilt portion on down between the Toro and the other RWD cars.

Might be that GM migrated to one tilt tele part number for all their "big" cars by '69 but I wouldn't bet on it.

You also need to watch for potential differences in turn signal switches, neutral safety switches and whether or not the car(s) came equipped with cornering lights.

However, nothing is impossible. But it'll likely be more then a 3 beer Saturday afternoon project.
