66 toro valves

I am attempting to ascertain whether non-stock valves were also stamped similarly to the originals --ie under the valve heads, I have T3 on exhaust and O4 on intake. This correlates with the info in my chassis service manual.
The answer to this helps corroborate whether this engine is as unmolested as other parts are tending to indicate.
Hard to imagine that after 42 yrs an engine would have no major work on it ?then again maybe ?
Any help appreciated
cheers
mike

If you have a factory manual that states those #'s and it's on the valves I'd say they are original...42 years is not the issue but miles more likely issue for having been replaced...These motors will last as long as the new stuff if taken care of...we just don't realize that because in the old days every car to meet a dealer on trade had the odometer turned back and also by owners, when penalties were a slap on the hand...
