Are the 2 cast pces over the headlites painted body color or bare chrome? Cant find any close ups to go by. Fair warning, 100’s more resto questions incoming!

 

Guess i should clarify…. The 2 parts the go above the headlite door in the cove

 

What is the best way to assemble the headlite doors, nose and fenders? Paint first doesnt seem to be a good option , but after assembly doesnt look great either? It was a giant PITA dis assembling.

 

I think they're painted black originally.

Pretty sure the center is black with body color around it. Don't quote me on that though. There's guys on here that know way more than me, hopefully they chime in here shortly.

I'll dig into my archives to check what I have. Hard to find an example that hasn't been played with.
