'66-'67 Interior body color

Afternoon all,

Just curious if anyone knows what color the interior body parts are on the '66-'67 Toronado. The picture attached below shows the color I'm referring to. I don't have a good picture of my own so I re-used Bob's 1967 picture so this isn't my car but mine is the exact same color behind the seats and in areas of the trunk. I'd like to touch up some areas and at least get the color close. Even a good guess would be helpful!

I checked the assembly manual which shows lots of the color options but I didn't see this one listed. I'm assuming that all '66-'67 Toronados, regardless of exterior and interior colors kept these same body parts the same color.

Like 10% of North American males, I have a red-green color deficiency and this particular color is right in the wheelhouse of my problem. It could be grey, it could be green, it could be grey-green.......I have no idea. Looks metallic though.

Again, not my car but doesnt anyone know what color these parts are?

On my 68, those areas are the same color as the car. I think 66 was the same. The red you see in the photos below is the factory glue used to hold the trunk carpeting.

Interesting! That definitely looks to be the body color for sure. However, check out the picture below......it's a '66 and the lower part looks to be body color (white) but the other parts are the same color as mine. This is just a picture from someone's torn-down '66 that I collected for reference.

It doesn't jive because my car has been repainted Garnet Red on the outside - but the color in the trunk and on these support pieces is Sauterne, which is the original exterior color of my '67. The interior side of this piece seems to be just a primer color - I'm pretty sure I can find a pic where this primer color and the Sauterne overspray show...

Here is a pic of the other side where you can see the structure is mostly a primer and areas around the edge have body color overspray (Sauterne)

The spare well used to be body color, but it was so rusty that I repaired it and coated it with POR-15.

Thanks so much Bob! That's extremely helpful as well.

My terrible color vision is letting me down again, however. In that last picture I can't tell the difference between the Sauterne & the primer colors. Could you point out what areas are which if you get a chance? Thanks again folks!

I get that completely! I tried to do a little enhancement on the pic but my editing ability is limited to my phone. The easiest way to describe the overspray is to just say that it's minor and random, just as would happen if you painted the wheel well and the cross support from the trunk side. There isn't any real pattern, per se, just an "edge wrap" from the sprayer. The wheel well is a solid body color, and the color on it wraps into the passenger compartment completely. See if this helps:

For some reason my markups didn't save. But the brighter areas on the left and right of the wheel well match the slightly brighter areas on the cross support. There is very little overspray on the horizontal piece, and almost none on the "Y's".

Thanks once again! I had to get my missus to come look at it with me and point out the overspray. This is really helpful.
