1969 Toronado in NW Washington state

Hi, Rick from O.H. in northwestern Washington state here. I rescued a 1969 Toronado with all sorts of bells and whistles, including an infamous "Comfortron" system...that isn't working right now! The good news is just about everything else does work, although it needs a lot of tuning and eventually a new paint scheme. The interior is all white with black dash/carpet. The exterior is a faded ugly medium dull washed out blue..appears to be a repaint.

The VIN is 394879M605828.

My Toro appears to have had a vinyl top at one time, but it's gone now. I'm hoping to take it to gunmetal grey with black GM racing stripes, tinted windows, and...a BLOWER!!
So as far as the Toro goes, here are some specs. I've been told by a Toro enthusiast that I have the standard 455 with dual exhaust...although it outpulls a freind's current CrownVic P.I. to 70mph without really trying.
It has a full dash with Comfortron. It has the clock. It has the stock AM radio. It also has a factory or dealer installed "Oldsmobile" badged 8-track under the dash.
Other identified options are electric seats and windows, telescoping steering, electric rear window defroster, and a former vinyl top(as stated above). The nice part about the lack of a vinyl top is that the trim is still in place...so if I can ever find someone who knows how to reinstall one I have the trim!
I'm missing a few things, and I probably need a few things. First I don't have hubcaps. Ok, that's all that's missing. I need help with the electric windows(they work, but don't go down straight), the Comfortron, and the dash. I have new bezels to install, I need to make the gas gauge work, and install the factory radio I found in an old 455-engined Cortez motorhome. I also need to replace the door pulls and the courtesy light covers.

Wish me luck, and rest assured I'll be asking TONS of questions.

Rick

Sounds good. For the gas gauge, check the ground on the sending unit in the gas tank.
