Hey guys, I'm new to the th400's. I bought one last year and it seems to be a good transmission, but I had a few problems with it. I put it into a 1979 z28 with a 455 in it ( more then enough tranny to handle it. Anyways I pull the car out of the garage and drove it around the corner to blow the bugs out, and when I returned home I couldn't get it to shift out of drive. I've checked the linkage inside and out. Pulled the vale body and no vales hung up. I did find that the lever that holds park was broken but, only in half. What els should I look at. I've rebuilt 350's in the past, so I'm sure I can take on fixing a TH400 if I know what to check.. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.
