Canadian Engine in a Lansing Olds

Just wondering if we have any VIN experts out there.
I have a 1956 Ninety Eight 4 dr.
The VIN denotes it as a Lansing built car (569M*****).
I also found the original production order under the carpet when I started the resto. The VIN matches.
Now here is the part that I'm wondering about. The production order gives an engine number of V1307424 (with the V denoting US production) but when I photographed the actual engine number between the front and center exhaust manifold ports the number is N9134494 (with the N denoting a Canadian built engine.
As far as the previous owner knows (he was the 2nd owner) the engine is original and never changed.
Does anyone know if some vehicles were built in Lansing and but received Canadian engine blocks? And why the production order might show a different engine number, or am I just not looking in the right spot for the engine number.
