Has anyone converted their oil bath air cleaner (bat wing 4 BBL) to a paper element using the factory housing? If so how was it done?

 

I haven't but I've thought about it. My idea would be to find a flat bottom plate the right size to fit inside the top cover. Then use a filter or stack of filters the right height support the top cover as the lid.


It would all depend on a couple of ifs and hasn't made it to my wish list, much less my priority list. It would make servicing things less of a hassle.
