Tilt steering column
Tilt steering column
What do I need to look for when looking for a tilt steering column to fit my 1970 Cutlass Supreme with a floor shifter? What cross references do i need when shopping salvage yards and pick and pulls?
Here's essentially what you can index for potential available options - i.e. 69-72 chevelle and 70-72 Monte Carlo floor shift auto columns are direct swap (same a-body column, with or without tilt) - I got my reman OEM tilt column from National Parts depot, but many other chevelle / Monte Carlo vendors list them - in any case pricey but nice

Looking for the correct 1969 Custlass S 350 auto Tilt floor shift auto column ID and I have a non tilt column and the letters LOCK are inline with key pointer in a verticle fashion. The tilt wheel has the LOCK letters going the horizontal or oposite direction. The tilt code ID is A3238S would this be a 1968 column? I need to get the correct column for my 1969 Cutlass
