question about front coil spings on 79 cutlass

I was looking to replace my old sagging springs on the front of my car. The problem I'm having is trying to figure out which one to buy. I have no clue on how to go about choosing the right one. Any help would be appreciated. And to add a lil bit more info on the car it has a 455 motor in it.

I'd use diesel station wagon springs if to high remove a little of the coil to you get the ride height you are looking for.I used those on a 79 monte with 454 it had perfect height and ride quality with the extra weight from the bb.

Will someone help me out. I found some cargo coil springs for the front of my 79 cutlass. Do yall think that it will be to much spring under my car. It has a 455 in it. My uncle was telling me to put a good quality oem replacment in it but I think that the extra weight from the big block will make them sag to much.

I don't know what the stock spring part number is but you can get one from an auto parts store. Then look up the part number on this chart and note the end styles. Then find one that is a few hundred pounds on the load rating with a thicker bar diameter and inside diameter, stay close to the installed height.

This chart can be sorted by column:
