Lares Steering Gear

Hi,
Looking to replace my steering gear but have never messed with this component before. Looking at RockAuto, I see a Lares 10972 which appears to be compatible. My existing gear is about 3-3 1/2 turns lock-to-lock. Has anyone else used this for model? How do I validate which coupler that I need? Assuming it’s stock steering, is the 31 spline typically the right one?

Google carhex facebook...Hector in CA. The Buick guys love him, he's reliable and I think the box is totally compatible.

I am in the process of installing the 10972 in my 66 Cutlass. I ordered the recommended rag joint and once the weather clears up I will finish putting it in. I am having trouble getting the pitman arm off of the current steering box as well. Looking forward to having this all done and driving again without 20-30 degrees of play in the steering wheel.
