I want to lower my 48’ Oldsmobile

Can anybody give me some advise on best way to lower a 48’ Olds? I want to stick with the original drivetrain. I have the Flathead in-line 8 w/ hydromatic trans. I’m cool with Low and Slow. Might upgrade brakes later but I want to see how the drums stop me first though. I’m working on the interior right now. Seats out and cleaning floors down to the metal. So far no rust holes or weak spots. I’m going to seal it and insulate when I’m done cleaning it up. The seats are in perfect condition other than the smell of there age. The door panels (all 4) are very rough and will need to be replaced or repaired. I’m Old School. I like traditional. I like to do my own work with alittle help from my friends. So, advice or ideas on lowering my 48’ is a good start for this Newbie

Unless you want to spend a load of bucks on a new suspension or air baggs the cheap fix is to go with fifties series tires and get some wide whites installed by Calli Tire which aren't all that expensive as far as wide whites go.

Welcome to CO and we need pic to satisfy our curiosity..... Tedd
