Coilovers vs springs and shocks

I am trying to narrow down my suspension parts so i can get them ordered. Is there an advantage to coilovers vs proper springs and shocks? Im looking at Viking coilovers, they are double adjustable. They are not much more than good adjustable shocks and coil springs.

The problem is that some of the kits to mount them are less than desirable because those areas are not strong enough to support the vehicle.

Eric's note is especially true about the rear which is why there's so many different kits for rear conversion. The fronts are OK, but stock lower arms aren't exactly beefy. Just about every aftermarket lower arm supports coilovers or springs - a few are specific to one style or the other.

The only real add with coilovers is height adjustment. But doing that height adjustment is a major PITA.
