72 cutlass convert. Hotchkis rear bar
Anyone know if that rear sway bar would hit a W-27 aluminum diff cover? Searched past posts but did not see one where the sway bar attaches to the axel on each side like the one in the picture would.

I run an axle mounted sway bar from Hellwig. It DOES hit the W27 cover in certain situations. This one might have a bigger deviation in the bar that might clear the cover, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Hellwig bar hits W27 cover
I know this is an old thread but a picture is worth a thousand words. I have the Hellwig sway bar PN55706 on my car. The bar cleared the W27 cover when the suspension was in full droop, but would hit the cover as the suspension compressed as I lowered the car. I had to take off the W27 cover, I'm using a TA support cover now. Here's a pic of my problem.

I thought about spacers too, so I took the cover off and lowered the car to measure the clearance. The Hellwig bar is designed to rotate up behind the differential when the suspension is in compression. I estimated the spacers would need to be 2-3" to provide enough clearance at the cover. I didn't want the bar hanging that low so I put on the TA cover with the bearing cap pre-load bolts. Here's a pic, This pic is with the chassis on the ground and the body off the frame so the suspension is unloaded.
