4.75 to 5x5 front disk rotors

Hi, I'm new here and have a question.

I'd like to install new rotors on my 75 hurst olds to fit a 5x5 bolt pattern. This would allow me to put wheels from a chevy truck that I have and like and finding wheels a little less difficult around here.
Rotors are cheap, around 34 bucks, but which model and year to ask for at the parts store is the question. I don't want to use adaptors because I intend to race the car and can't have any breakage.
Any help would be appreicated.

Your not going to be able to find that conversion. Its not just the rotor, You would nave to change the hub as well plus other parts and the rear would not match the front you would have to change all of that as well. I suggest you look for another wheel you like.

AC DELCO 18A3 rotor. Surely 1 of these cars had a 5x5 bolt pattern, and all use the same rotor blank. Worst case scenario, take your rotors to a machine shop and have them drill you a second set of stud holes.

Could he just use a set of B-Body spindles and hubs?

The problem is that all of the 5 x 5" bolt circle rotors that I am aware of are 11.75" diameter, whereas the 5 x 4.75" rotors are 10.75" diameter. Since the caliper brackets are integral with the spindles on the1973-77 cars, you can't simply swap rotors.

More to the point, by the time you swap the front spindles, get new rotors, have the rear axles redrilled, and get new rear drums with the correct bolt circle, you've probably spent more money than simply getting the correct wheels. You don't specify where you are that 5 x 5 wheels are easier to find, but since EVERY Camaro ever made (well, except the 2010 model) used a 5 x 4.75" bolt circle, it is inconceivable to me that you have any problem finding wheels to fit.

Thank's for the input everyone. It was just a thought. I live just north of Lafayette La and have a buddy with a junk yard. He would give me one of many matching sets he has, but all the nice and wide ones he has right now are 5x5 bp. I'm going to ordering rear shafts for the diff anyway so that's what got me thinking about this.

it is possible

Check with your junkyard buddy and see if the rotors off of a 1995-1998 gm pickup 5 on 5 will fit those spindles with bearings and seals.

now the other part is check your lugs and studs, what I mean is that my 55 Pontiac has a different size stud than Chevy 5 on 5. Bigger on Pontiac, your Olds may be the same, you can get different studs and press it in.

so it is possible, checking is part of the fun of the hobby. Good luck

Welcome. Note that you've responded to a thread that's been dead since 2009. I suspect he's solved the problem by now.

4.75 to 5x5 on C3 spindles

same issue trying to find a 5x5 bolt pattern to fit the C3 corvette spindle and be max 11.93 in diameter. Corvette has a 11.75 btw. The c10 fits except length on spindle stud- the rotor is too long. I tried changing the inner race and bearing... no bueno.

why you doing this? The C3 spindle fits the 65-66 Cadillac DeVille- I have unilug rims now but if I want to

This is the c10 front 5x5. Too long for C3 shaft
go factory, I will need the 5x5 or use wheel adapters

Wow, is this thread like cicadas? It seems to come back to life every six years or so.

I was going to suggest 71-76 Caprice, but those are the same P/N rotors as the C10. Your best bet may be to just have the C3 rotors redrilled.
