1967 cutlass springs and shocks

I've been looking throught all the posts and decided to get specific with mine.

I need to update my suspension and due to location circumstances am thinking of changing just my springs and shocks for right now. Car is a 67 f-85 330 auto. I do want to raise the back a little, but the front could use an update as well. I believe the 442 sat i little higher both ends, so I'm looking into 442 springs and shocks up front and station wagon springs and longer shocks in back.

Two questions:

Does anybody know any compatible parts for the back end? If you proffessionals think this could be bad, I'll probably go for 442 shocks and springs on back and update with bigger tires on back to get the raise.

The ultimate question is will 442 springs and shocks be completely compatible on their own with the f-85?

I too have a 67 F85, need shocks and was looking for a little higher look also. I replaced the springs a while ago.

If you call Detroit Eaton Spring and tell them what you want and what you now have they can sell you just what you need. I got my front and rear springs from them for my 67 442 and asked for 1.5 inch higher than stock and thats what I got.

I don't remember which springs I used in the back, but they were moog station wagon springs. I used 5272 moogs in the front, all stock shocks. If you are going to change the front springs, I would highly recommend doing your bushings and ball joints at the same time, your already there. I have a BB in my car, so you may want to go with a lighter spring.

Moog 5272 Springs $98.79
Moog K6076 Lower Round Bushings $31.50
Moog K5103 Lower Ball Joints $45.58
Moog K5108 Upper Ball Joints $37.40
Moog K8266 Sway Bar Links $8.02

Total with freight and discount $241.32

I used this chart. Sort by 3.63 ID, and make sure your ends are compatable.

I looked up the rear springs that I installed, Moog CC507 stationwagon springs.

I was hoping for a 1/2 inch more up front, and here are the measurements. The front measured from the floor to the bottom center of wheel well lip and centered on the wheel, front is 28"/ rear is 29.5".

The shocks are Monroe for stock 442/ Cutlass, but I will probably upgrade in the future.

There are additional pic's in my album.

Moog 5413 in the rear may give what you want.
