I have BMR 1" lowering springs on my car (front and back). It's this kit:

Nice and firm, not stiff or harsh at all IMO. See pics.
What do you mean "now the car sit 4' above stock"? If the car is raised 4" with no give something is definitely wrong. Are the springs seated correctly in their pockets?

Yep I think that the springs I put were boxed wrong , thats my gut feeling. As a tech for six months short of 50 years I have installed more than my share of springs both coil & leaf so i'm sure they were seated. Seeing that I'm going to replace the springs any that's why I asked about that brand. So I think I will lower the car 1". I like the stance of your car. Nice color too.

Hope to get it back on the road this summer !!

This car did not budge a inch after the engine was installed and the hood. So the only thing left for weight is the bumper , 4 speed & the front seats & console. I don't think that weight will drop it to where it should be. And now I think I would like it dropped 1 " anyway.

I put 5244 springs in mine this past summer. At first I was thinking it was way too high. Now after about 1000 miles and a few months I am very happy with it. You do have to wait until it is all together. There is allot of weight yet for you to add. you do have aluminum heads and intake that will take away some weight as well. A stock bbo intake weighs about 60 lbs and a aluminum one is about 12. I am sure the difference in the heads is very substantial as well. Here is mine just after installing the new springs and only about 2 miles on it.

Front springs

After looking and waiting for my 66 to somewhat lower it's self after what I was told were Moog 5244 springs were installed I just got done installing a set of BMR 1' drop front springs. The car stopped looking like my old Cessna climbing for altitude. The stance looks just like I wanted. Next project is my Fitech efi unit that has just arrived last week. Any one out there know if Moog marks their springs with a part #

I don't think they mark them but you can measure according to this chart and probably figure out what size they are.

Maybe it wasn't taken into account that you have alum heads and intake. I got my springs from Detroit Eaton and they asked all these questions. My springs were a perfect height as to what I wanted and asked for.
