DEMON carb. transfer slot

hello, its me with an unusal problem/question again

i have a ,,new,, baseplate for my 525 demon. now i saw that one

transfer slot is damaged.i think that happens during the shipping?? its on the upper side. can anyone tell me, if that would

be a problem, or will the carb get at this position the gas already from the main

circuit? any ideas?

OK. talked with the BG-Tech support.

what he said, was, that i shouldnt use it, because it could be a big issue with off idle transition. so i restored my old, dirty used baseplate, with the usable parts of the damaged one. cu.

I'm surprised there is still a BG tech support. BG went out of business awhile ago. Just from experience I can tell you that BG carbs are pos in a lot of cases. I have not heard of or seen one of their carbs that didn't need to be touched right out of the box. It's no wonder he went under.

Holley owns the BG name now. The quality control is supposed to be MUCH better. I am seriously considering the Street Demon 750, based off the Thermoquad. Nothing but great reviews for that carb.
