'68 350 Hp and Torque mods
I'm a long time Olds engine fan, even though all of my friends make fun(Chev guys).I was wondering what the stock HP and Torque ratings are for a 1968 350 4 bbl. Also,i completely rebuilt this engine, bottom to top and i'm looking for a HP and Torque estimate.stock pistons,Comp Cams 490 lift cam and matching valve springs,#5 heads, plained with 3 angle valve job, mild port and polish, stock size valves,Edelbrock performer intake, and a holley 650 carb. What else should i do to increase my numbers? Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to our site.
Second, you don't owe the chevy guys any expanation or comparison.
Third, stock numbers meant nothing, hardly no standards to making the measurements.
Fourth, since your engine is rebuilt, the numbers will be different.
Fifth, all valve jobs are three angle.
Sixth, Your Oldsmobile kicks butt on any chevy anyway (whether it is faster or has more horespower or not).
note; the last statement is highly editorialized but universally agreed upon at this site. And in reply to your last question, headers.
