vapor lock

Ive got a 72 sbo in my 85 cutlass. Its been hooter than hell this summer again and ive been experiencing a lot of vapor lock when I shut my car off. Iam not running a return line from my mech pump back to tank, should I? And would insulating my fuel line really help? My headers are wrapped, my engine usually runs about 190-200deg. Any thoughts??

Insulating the fuel line will help. A thick carb gasket will make a bigger difference.
