Ok, now its time to look at the 330 on my 67 F-85. It has the stock intake manifold and 2bbl carb.

I found a 4bbl locally, Edelbrock Performer 600 cfm part 1406, perfect for what I need right now. I will need a new intake manifold, found edelbrock part 2711, both are compatible. Now, After I remove the original, do I need a new intake gasket or can I reuse the metal sheet? If so, any suggestions where? actually having a harder time finding one for a 330.

Any suggestions on the best way to go about replacing as far as any need for silicones, bolts, etc? I'm assuming its basically all plug and play.

 

I've never had luck with sheet metal gaskets on aluminum intakes. I've always used the fiber gaskets with RTV instead of the end seals and worked great. Others swear by the sheet metal gaskets so stick around for more responses.

 

I use the Fel Pro 4 piece gasket and the valley tray on Mondello's website.

Used this combo on my 350 and I plan on using the same combo on the 330. It's just a PIA to drop the manifold on and NOT let the rubber ends pop out in the process

 

And I've ALWAYS used the factory metal intake gasket without a problem on both iron and aluminum intakes (factory and aftermarket). That's 35 years and nearly two dozen cars without a leak. No, you cannot reuse the gasket. The embossed areas around the ports are designed to crush to form the seal. Once they crush, they do not reseal.
