350 exhaust

i have been stressing a lot about this i have guys telling me to go with 2 1/2. The person that rebuilt my engine tells me that 2 1/4 is fine. Cats on the car are fine he said, he put them on so they don't ruin the floor. We also decided on putting a bigger cam in it. He tells me that the exhaust is fine even though im leaning more towards flow master super 40 2 1/2 inch exhaust please help

I plan on a 2 1/2 for mine even though I do not plan on running headers, power still will be lost with the 2 1/4.
If you're going this far, it does not cost that much more for the increase in size.

If you can, try to use punctuation, and caps. This will make it easier for people to read and understand exactly what you are trying to say.

Go with the 2 1/2 you wont regret it. I just installed flowtech headers and full header back Pypes 2 1/2 exhaust on my 71 cutlass with a 74 motor and it sounds badass.

What car, what engine specs? Gearing, car weight, induction? You leave out a lot of information here that will ultimately determine what you need.

Bigger pipes, you'll scavenge better at the expense of some low-end torque and the start of your power band will go up a few hundred RPM.

yes!! ill never buy flowtech headers again. when i start my nova project im going with the more expensive hookers or something and assuming tht wht i pay for is wht i get

where the flowtechs should seal with the heads around each port the flowtech headers are raised and like bumpy...its extremely odd...my cousins a mechanic and he helped me install them nd even he was like WTF is this

I never used the flowtechs, but as far as headers go I always felt Hooker Headers were the yardstick in headers. Tried some others, but they never were as good, or lasted as long.
All are a pain.

My Opinion
