Heater Core/AC Box under dash- 1972 supreme with AC.

Hi everyone! May I trouble someone for some photos or diagram of the interior of the housing that holds the heater core and blend door assembly that bolts up under the dash on my 1972 cutlass supreme with AC? I took out the box to inspect the heater core and clean the box of 50 years of dust and I’m having trouble putting it back together. The assembly manual only shows the outside of the box and how it mounts to the inside of the firewall in section 1-1. Thank you in advance!

Chris, not sure what you would like to see pictures of. The under dash box attached? Or the mounting points? Or is it the cables that your having trouble putting back on?

You aren't going to find a detailed assembly drawing of the HVAC internal mechanisms because that's not a normal service item. The PIM won't show it because that part showed up on the assembly line already put together. The best you can do is the flow diagrams in the CSM, Chapter 1C, which will at least show you the locations of the flapper doors and some of the linkages and vacuum diaphragms.

Joe- and John, thank you for your replies. I was able to recover photographs that I took. Basically I was looking to see how the cables attached, and how the C-shaped brackets attached the heater core inside the box. So I think I’m good now. Thank y’all so much! Hope you’re good, it’s good to be back on the site again, haven’t really been on since last summer.
