Is this VRV? Vacuum reducer valve? Is this CCV? Canistor Control Valve? Is this Can Purge Solenoid? Is this Anti Diesel Solenoid? Is this VDV? Vac tank i guess.. Referred to this

The big round ball in the second-last photo, which should not be sitting loosely like that but should be mounted to the passenger side inner fender or perhaps on the firewall, is the "VAC TANK" shown on the lower left in the diagram in your last photo. Notice that one of its two ports is connected to manifold vacuum. It provides a reservoir of vacuum to operate the various vent doors in your HVAC system. If it is not in good shape and properly hooked up, you won't be able to change the vents from which the air flows on your heating/AC system no matter where you put the selector lever (VENT, HEAT, etc.).
The other things you're pointing to in the other photos look like the various vacuum switches (VDV, etc) shown on the diagram. Hopefully your vacuum hoses are still connected to where they should be, and you should be able to use the diagram to trace them and figure out what's what. A factory service manual for the car would be very handy here.
This is the Cannister Purge "Solenoid" (it is actually a thermally operated vacuum valve, not a real solenoid). FYI, yours is broken. There should be a cap on the top. I expect it leaks vacuum.

This is the VRV (not the VDV). Yes, that open port is supposed to be open (originally there was a small foam filter over it, but the foam has long ago crumbled into dust).
Ha..... just finished replacing most of those on my Wife's 84 Riviera during my engine rebuild. Played heck finding them but managed to get all new NOS stuff from E-bay.
