Carb Advice - Edelbrock Intake
Hi,
I have the Edelbrock 3711 intake on my 350 currently. It has block off plates for both the EGR and the choke as I converted the QJet from hot-air choke to electric choke. I'm looking to go with a different carb and the Edelbrock website says that the 3711 is to be used with stock 4BBL only. I'm assuming it's for clearance issues with the ports but is anyone else using a 3711 with an Edelbrock carb and if so, which one? Did it require an adapter plate, spacer, etc.?

Keep the QJet, it's a better carburetor. You won't see any performance gains going from a good condition 750 cfm QJet to that carb.
As for your question, yes, you have to use a spacer for an Edelbrock carb to fit on the Edelbrock intake manifold. Weird, huh?

Alternatively, I may be able to have the QJet rebuilt/reman'd but I'm pressed for time. Is there a reputable site that I could purchase a rebuilt 4bbl QJet that anyone is aware of? I saw a Jet Streetmaster QJet on JEGS that has the forward facing fuel inlet that I currently have but wasn't sure about it.
