pace car

I have a 1970 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible Pace Car Y74 code on cowl Tag. It is a 350 numbers matching car. I know it is one of around 60 built with this engine plant. But car is an auto on the column, split bench seat A/C car. Flat hood, no OAI hood. Power drum brakes on all 4 corners. 12 bold one legged rear end. Seems odd to me? Any guesses out there how many were built with this combo?

Sounds fairly typical of a low option car to me - seen plenty like that over the years. These days folks add a bunch of stuff they wished the car had from the factory. It's kinda like how EVERY 442 has an OAI hood and almost every convertible is red.

There were 358 Cutlass Pace Cars built with the 350

I was looking for that, Mike. Where did you find it? Hemmings promoted the "about 60" number in an article available on line. I didn't believe it either but could not find the real number.

The 1970 Supreme convertible was available with the armrest bench seat as an option.

I saw it in this book years ago. I know there are some inconsistencies elsewhere in the book but I assumed that they had to have received their info from a reliable source because there’s a ton of other production info in it and the numbers generally agree with other sources.
