Thorton manifolds on a 68 350"
Thorton manifolds on a 68 350"
If you have a 68 cutlass and plan on using Thorton exhaust manifolds with the factory hot air shield on the passenger side be prepared for a lot of work. Spent about 2 1/2 to 3 hours making them work. Wanted to keep the factory look as much as possible. The good thing is no cutting on the heat shield just some creative bending and a little hammer work. The manifold lots of work! You will have to grind or mill the ribs cast into the new design. I used my milling machine and a ball nose end mill but a hand grinder will work. Enclosed are some pics. Good luck!!
