Will SCB headers fit the 350 rocket?

I found a cheap pair of sbc long tube headers and I was wondering if they would bolt up to the 350 olds.

you are kidding, right?

The distributor cap and rotor interchange between Olds and Chevy... maybe the '68 Olds air cleaner breather. That's about it.

Totally different designs in every way.

Wait! You forgot carburetors! Those interchange sort of. And exhaust pipes, from the collector back lol! Oh, and wheels and tires! See, there's quite a bit that is interchangeable...but headers? No, not a chance!

Ah! I got my hopes up for nothing lol Guess I'll just buy a new set off ebay. Out of curiosity DO you think 20hp would be a reasonable estimation of gain?

Wait, are you going for HP or fuel mileage? In your other thread you want 20 mpg...now you want 20 HP. Sorry to say but you will rarely find both, unless it's a diesel...or an exhaust modification. Headers will do both Maybe 20, more realistically 10-15 on a stock engine.

I would love to have both, but its like you said. I drive the cutlass every day, so i'm trying the pull the best of bost as much as I can. How about converting it to HEI? I was told that if I got away from using points and went with the high energy ignition that I would see a small gain in fuel economy.

You would see a small gain, but I don't know if it would worth the cost. I wouldn't go HEI, if anything I'd get an MSD Pro-billet ready to run distributor. Easy to mess with, you can change around the advance curve easily.

Or mostly any of the aftermarket distributors. You won't even notice any real fuel or performance changes. You just won't have to mess with points.

Put it in neutral down every hill and at stop lights. This will save gas. I took my motor out and am saving gas like crazy right now.
