Where to find a 12 volt ignition wire?
I am changing to an hei style ignition in my 67 330 Vista Cruiser, where is a good place to get a good 12 volt wire for the distributer? I don't trust the electronic ignition that is currently in the car, it had been converted before I bought the car and I don't recognize the parts that are under the cap. I'm afraid if I am a long way from home and something burns I wouldn't be able the find replacement parts., hei parts can be found anywhere or I could just carry a spare module and cap. I have already purchased an hei distributer so I'm looking for a good 12 volt source.

If your fuse block has an unused cavity marked IGN, that is the perfect HEI power source. If there's a switched power accessory terminal like power windows, that's good too.
Past that, use the 1967 CSM wiring diagram to find an appropriate switched 12v source.
Just don't be like the Chevy guys and splice it into the wiper motor wiring.🙄
