What is it called???

Hi,

I am looking for the name of a part:

the spring with steel tube that pushes the camshaft backwards.
It is located in the timing cover, on the fuel pump excentric, on the sprocket for the camshaft.

Please help me out!

I have only seen that on roller cam engines.

Since the oil pump drive is constantly pulling the cam rearwards, why would such a thrust thing be necessary ??

my cam was walking back and forth, making a knocking noise when the engine was runing. Now I put a washer before the spring and the play is eliminated
