Been only driving my 70 Cutlass convert for about a month now but now I'm seeing an issues. It was running fine until the other day. As I try to accelerate I get a sound and the car jerks. I should say it in a better way. I press on the gas an the car starts picking up speed then I get 2 loud (POO POO *great sound spelling I know lol) and the car jerks twice with each POO if i keep on the gas it will POO POO more (please stop laughing at me POO POOing ) and jerk the same. Any ideas!!!

I know my trans is slipping a bit BUT it doesnt sound like a trans issue. Almost like something is not opening up. Now if im in the garage and i rev and hold the engine I get no POO POOing.

I am not done with the word POO on the forum lol.

 

It could possibly the choke stuck in the closed position or maybe the timing is off a bit. I had that issue a few years ago and it was the choke. One nice thing about this site is that there are a lot of great peeps with a lot of knowledge. Good luck with the "poo-pooing"
