water pump removal

I have removed everything except the work itself. There is an aluminum extender holding the pulley on the pump. I can't remove it? Can't remove pump without first removing extender then pulley.

Are you talking about the spacer between the pump and the fan? Once the 4 bolts are removed just give it a little tap on the side with a hammer. It has pilot hole in the center that the pump shaft centers in.

As noted, the aluminum spacer has a tight fit on the water pump shaft. Couple this with galvanic corrosion due to dissimilar metals (aluminum and steel), and you get a stuck spacer. Gentle "persuasion" will loosen it.
