Valve guide seals for #5 heads

Good morning all,

I'm planning on replacing valve guide seals on my Cutlass this weekend and i'd like to get some input on a part# or brand of seals to get. These are completely stock #5 heads on a 69 350. I'm just looking to replace the originals (or whats left of them) with something as close to stock as possible. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

The stock ones are what they call umbrella type seals. They dont seal the guide very well but act like a shield for dripping oil. I like a more positive type seal and have been using ones like these. They are a little tough to install but seem to work well.

FelPro SS70393.

$11 at Advance

$14 at O'Reilly.

The SP ones that Joe listed are great, too.

Positive type seals do seal great, but that's the problem. With stock heads and cast iron guides......I'd prefer the umbrella type seals. I run them on my race car since the guides are iron. The cast iron guides do need the lubrication, more-so than a bronze liner or full bronze guide.
