They are the same. I think there was a later valve cover with more bolt holes, though...but still the same physical size.

Chrome valve covers are all over ebay. GM still sells the Oldsmobile aluminum ones. There's also two-piece covers available from some Olds vendors (for big bucks).

Thake your pick.

I have a set from a 455 that have the word OLDSMOBILE stamped on them (raised letters) that I had bead blasted and chromed about six years ago. They are still in pretty good shape and I will sell them to you for the money I have in them plus shipping. They cost me $35.00. Let me know.

All 64-90 Olds motors (except the 64 394) use the same valve cover. Prior to the 1980s the valve cover had ten bolts. As a cost saving measure Olds went to an RTV seal (instead of a gasket) and left out half the bolts. These later 5-bolt covers use the same stamping as the 10-bolt covers but half the bolt holes are not punched.

The 68-72 A-body big block cars used covers with notches at the back to clear the brake booster and A/C box. Many people (myself included) have used non-notched covers on these cars with no clearance problems, and the A-body restorers have jacked the price of the notched covers through the roof.

The factory valve covers with the stamped "OLDSMOBILE" lettering were used in 73-74 (and maybe 75). They will fit any 64-90 motor.

ok, if I did this right they should be here..........hope...\

I guess it worked, I can see them anyway. Took more on the cellphone camera but they wouldn't download to the CD picture maker at WAlMART, (darn bluetooth). Anyway the two top pictures show the worst blemish which is a dent in one of the covers which can be seen. You can put that one on the passenger side under the A/C compressor if you are going to have it, or on the driver's side if you prefer, it will be more to the back then. Either way. Let me know.

They haven't been cleaned either, so they will look better shined up. And they seal well, the surfaces are flat.

Just add whatever the shipping is from here. I can check tomorrow at work, they use UPS and the shipping manager can figure it out for me. I will let you know.

If you want them it would be $45.00 total, shipped. Just send me a money order and they will be yours.
