Vacuum Switch / TCS / 2GC Rebuild
As part of my initial "tune up and see what we have" project on my new 72 S I rebuilt my 2GC carb (2GV I think technically) vacuum lines etc..and the TCS/Vacuum switch doesn't appear to be working.
I know just hooking the distributor to ported vacuum would bypass it, but as this car is going to be a driver and may sit in traffic I thought having the temperature vacuum switch might be a good precaution.
If I purchase a temp vacuum switch for a 1970 and hook it up would that effectively disable the TCS and just give me ported vacuum to the distributor for normal operation but still advance the timing at idle if it overheats?
Hopefully this makes some sense,
Thanks for any input
Tim
