  1. Remove four nuts from U-bolts on rear universal
  2. Remove U-bolts
  3. Dislodge universal from driveshaft yoke
  4. Pull driveshaft out of transmission
  5. Say "Oh #&@)@*!!!!" and run to find lots of rags as oil pours out the back of your transmission.

Coche no va y tranny no trabaje...lol!

No fluid, either the previous owner did you a favor by draining it before he sold it or you're REALLY low. You'll find fluid when you pull the motor...in which case you'll scramble to find rags and then smash your distributor into the firewall. But according to Eric you can always remove it afterwards

"Remove distributor (unless you're really sure you won't smash it against the firewall, in which case you can remove it after you smash it against the firewall)."

Remove trans pan and remove fluid and filter.
It's a lot easier collecting the fluid before it hits the garage floor.

You'll also find running some tape around all the u-joint cups will now keep the loose 2 from falling off and the needle bearings from scattering all over a 20 x 20 garage, and you'll be 1 short, everytime!
We've all done it!

Actually now would be a good time to just go ahead and replace the U-joints if it's been a while!
