swapping a 307 in place of a diesel

If I swap out the diesel in an 81 Cutlass with a 307 gas engine, what needs to be done to the fuel system other than flushing out the diesel fuel?

Methinks this entirely reasonable, yet entirely unrelated, question might merit it's own thread.

I moved your post to its own thread instead of hijacking an unrelated thread.

That's about it. The 307 will bolt to the existing trans. The diesel uses an offset driver's side motor mount to allow clearance for the larger diesel starter. You can either transfer those parts to the 307 or you can use the smaller 307 starter and relocate the motor mount and frame mount on the driver's side. The diesel radiator is much larger than needed for the 307, so that's not problem. You'll notice that the diesel has a vacuum modulator valve that mimics the vacuum response of a gas engine to the trans modulator. You can eliminate that and simply connect the trans vacuum modulator directly to manifold vacuum on the 307. I assume that you are converting the 307 to non-computer operation, using a conventional distributor and carb.

Not sure what you plan on doing with that car, but you might want to check with your state/local emissions test requirements (if any) before you move a head with the project.

While this is prudent information, the reality is that diesels of that vintage typically do not require periodic emissions testing. The VIN says the car is a diesel, which is all the DMV cares about.

I do have to wonder what leads you to put a 307 in instead of a gas 350. Exactly the same job, but finding a rebuilt 350 today (here at least) is a lot easier than tracking down a 307 in good condition. The 307 wasn't that desirable new so finding a fresh one (again, here) isn't the easiest thing.
