Small Block True Dual Exhaust Manifolds?

Small Block True Dual Exhaust Manifolds?
Has anyone used these or have an opinion on them? Are they much better than stock or are they close to headers? It looks like the collector is 2.25" compared to the stock 2".

Your options for a 330 are limited! I think they will work great for you. I believe you can cap the crossover for the manifolds you have also if thats the route you want to go. Thats what I did to mine to get duals.

I installed a set of Thornton manifolds last spring, and they work great. The Thornton's look just like the ones in your photo but have a 2 1/4 dump on the DS and a 2 1/2 dump on the PS.
A lot of people here poo-poo these manifolds but I think they work great and so does the machine shop that's doing my engine.

a friend of mine got a set not long ago. after he got them we look at them and didn't see how they will be any improvement. i fully agree with Joe on the subject after seeing them. he give them to me because he wasn't going to use them and i put them on the Rallye 350. only thing is, i done several other things at the same time so i don't know what parts done what. looks to me like the little divider they have in the middle would cause more restriction for number 1 and 2 cylinder than they are going to gain from the others. i would love to see an engine dynoed with stockers and then these with no other changes to the engine to put the subject to rest. i figure if they did make more power they would have showed the dyno reports in the add for them.

Another thought, Sanderson shorty headers are about the same cost, less hassles than full length but better than stock manifolds, IMO.

The problem with that is the results would only be valid for that particular combination, there are so many variables.

That would be me. Once again, I see no flow benefits, so if the lack of a crossover cap is worth $300 to you, it's your money. As far as I'm concerned, the stock manifolds with cap worked fine on the W-31.

I don't think I can use the Sanderson shorty headers on my car. I think I am stuck with the stock manifolds or these. I believe I read somewhere that headers were available but at a very high cost.
I will probably just go with the stock manifolds and dual exhaust with the block off plate. i was just curious how these compared.
